Enviricard Announces Global Partnership with Cvent

Enviricard Announces Global Partnership with Cvent

20 October 2025

Today we announce our global partnership with Cvent, a market-leading event technology provider. Through this partnership, we're eliminating plastic waste from event badges entirely, while simultaneously reducing badge-related carbon emissions by 57%.

This partnership marks a significant step forward for one of the industry's most persistent challenges: single-use plastic badge waste.

Why this Partnership Matters

Our partnership with Cvent now empowers event professionals to replace their single-use plastic badges with Enviricard’s eco-friendly paperboard alternative. Our paperboard is These sustainable badges seamlessly integrate into Cvent’s OnArrival 360 check-in systems featuring on-demand badge printing and attendance tracking software.

This collaboration follows the successful unveiling at last year's Cvent CONNECT event. Building upon the positive reception this technology received, we were excited to showcase our partnership at Cvent CONNECT Europe, highlighting enviricard’s ability to assist organisations in reducing their plastic waste and meet their sustainability objectives.

Addressing a Major Source of Waste

Event badges generate a considerable amount of waste, with millions being produced and discarded each year. Each unit is typically used for only a few hours/days before disposal. When scaled across thousands of events globally, this creates a significant environmental challenge.

Event organisers have consistently expressed their frustration with this dilemma. They require professional high-quality event badges printed on demand, on-site as attendees arrive and check into their events. Our partnership with Cvent directly tackles this industry need.

Strategic Innovation with Cvent OnArrival 360

When developing our solution to event badge plastic waste, seamless integration was essential. Our badges function within the Cvent OnArrival 360 system, allowing event organisers to continue to utilise their existing check-in and badge printing operations. The software and check-in process remain unchanged, only the badge material is different.

Andreas Heckmann, Cvent Chief Customer Officer, outlined, “Our customers are increasingly focused on delivering sustainable events that reflect their brand values. Whether it’s choosing recyclable materials or keeping badge waste out of landfills, we’re helping them take meaningful steps toward their corporate responsibility goals without adding additional complexity to their planning.”

From Sustainable Forestry to Event Attendees

Our badges are made from premium invercote paperboard from Holman Board and Paper, sourced from regenerative forests and coated with an environmentally friendly plant-based bio-coating.

We base print our badges on a RICOH Pro™ C9500 digital press, allowing event organisers to overprint attendee details on-site with DTC dye sublimation desktop printers with standard ink ribbons. Organisers simply continue to use their existing processes.

Our badges are independently verified as fully recyclable in standard paper recycling (PfR) mills and are biodegradable and compostable in industrial facilities under EN13432 standards. This ensures that our cards are part of a truly sustainable system.

A Partnership for Growth and Impact

Graham Lycett, the founder and managing director of enviricard stated “enviricard is the leading product of its kind, helping organisations, including those in the events, leisure and tourism, financial services and municipal sectors meet their ESG goals without compromising on quality or efficiency.

“Our strategic partnership with Cvent, the largest event and hospitality technology company in the world, represents a leap forward in enviricard’s growth and aligns with growing industry demands for visible sustainability measures in the events space globally.”

As discussed within the industry, sustainability has become an operational requirement rather than an optional consideration. Event organisers have faced the problem of single-use plastic waste for decades, and with Enviricard’s solution, this problem can finally be addressed.

This partnership with Cvent marks a significant milestone for both enviricard and the events industry. The evolution toward eco- friendly event badges is truly underway, and through our partnership with Cvent, this sustainable solution is now accessible to event professionals worldwide.
